This Thursday, at 7:30 PM, will commence our church-wide call to prayer and fasting. We'll conclude this 24-hour fast at our Good Friday service at 6:30 PM. The purpose of this time is to produce a greater wonder of our Savior who was crucified and raised for our redemption, and for us to ask God to bless our ministry efforts to reach this community. This Sunday at Oak Park we'll be singing a new song; He Will Hold Me Fast. This old hymn was originally written in the late 1800’s by Ada Habershon, a personal friend of Charles Spurgeon. Though lost to most hymnals, in 2013 it was rediscovered by Matt Merker, a worship leader at Capital Hill Baptist Church. I hope this song ministers to your heart as we add it to our worship repertory.
